Quorum Met? Yes
Thanks to those who attended the Annual Meridian Homeowner’s Association Meeting. 20%, or 78 homeowners, were needed to establish quorum for the meeting to proceed and we did meet it!
What you missed…
- Tonya Martin from CMA apologized for fine letters going out before post cards from CMA.
- The current board gave an overview of some of the things they have worked on in the past year.
- They also presented Erynn Keenen with the first Volunteer of the Year award for her hard work and commitment to supporting the community.
- The seven candidates who volunteered to serve on the board were introduced and allowed a few minutes to speak as to why they should be on the board before votes were cast and counted.
- Tonya Martin from CMA presented some information about CMA, Overview of the Association & Board including the financial statements.
- Saul Freedenberg provided a City Park update – Phase 1 is 90% complete, going out for bid and scheduled to be completed by 12/31/10. This park will be on Lakeridge just east & north of our entrance at Marina Vista. Check back for more details, pictures and plans.
- Each Committee Chairperson got up and gave an update or overview and each one stressed how they could use more volunteers!
- Saul also announced that the city came out at our request and plans to put in a four way stop at Marina Vista and Lakeridge.
The five board members for 2010 – 2011 are:
- Aby Mathew (2nd year)
- Rahul Puttagunta (2nd year)
- Saul Freedenberg (2nd year)
- Barb Jamison (1st year & formerly the Crime Watch Chairperson)
- Niranjan Gadekar (1st year)
There was an open Question & Answer session – the main topic was landscaping.
