2012 Annual Meeting

When: Monday, May 29, 2012
Where: The Colony High School Auditorium
Quorum Met? Yes

Thanks to those who attended the Annual Meridian Homeowner’s Association Meeting.  20%, or 78 homeowners, were needed to establish quorum for the meeting to proceed and we did meet it, however, attendance was very low.

What you missed…

  • Saul Freedenberg, HOA President brought the meeting to order. Announced quorum had been established and introduced the outgoing board and CMA representatives, including Michele Harris our community manager.
  • Saul Freedenberg gave a presentation of the year in review covering the many things the BOD worked on and accomplished.
  • Cathy Murray unable to attend was presented with the Volunteer of the Year Award for all her time and efforts over the last several years. Saul read a message that Cathy wrote in her absence.
  • The Minutes from last years Annual Meeting were approved.
  • Each Committee provided an update.
    • ACC Committee (currently handled by the Board Members)
    • Crime Watch Committee – Vishual Kulshrestha updated on a few recent issues and stated that he would be actively working with each Block Captain to be sure we have one for each street in the community.
    • Social Committee – Cathy Murray is stepping down as Chair.  Karen Mirsky and Erynn Keenen are also stepping back until more volunteers step and help plan the Social Events.
    • Communications Committee – Erynn Keenen discussed the website, quarterly newsletters, mass emails and the directory forms.

There were only five (5) candidates on the ballot to run for the Board of Directors.  No additional nominations were presented from the floor.  So, the candidate speeches were bypassed as were the hand written ballots.  All in attendance voted the following:

  • Aby Mathew (4th year)
  • Dimple Trivedi (2nd year)
  • Shrihari Sathaye (2nd year )
  • Shirish Damle (1st year)
  • Cornel Bekker (1st year)

The was an open Question & Answer session after the official meeting was adjourned.

Thanks again to last year’s board for their time and commitment to the community!
